The BU women’s team finished second of five teams in the field, finishing just behind Purdue. Senior Jennifer Luksan led the team with a third-place performance, running the 5K course in a career-best time of 18:47.5 – 11 seconds better than her previous PR time. Sophomore Sam Lechowicz also finished in the top five and posted a mark of 18:51.3.

Senior Nicole Alfano (11th in 19:21.0), freshman Arsinoe Del Real (12th in 19:21.3) and sophomore Emma Makowski (19th in 19:33.8) also ranked among the top 20 finishers on the afternoon for the Braves.

The Braves also featured two runners in the men’s 8K as Nick Porter placed 33rd in 28:30.7 and Scott Seymour was 36th in 28:49.4.

The Braves now turn their attention toward the MVC Championship, held on Saturday, October 28 at Missouri State. The men aim for their third-straight title, while the women look to reclaim the top of the podium after titles in 2014 and 2015.
