Vikings Head North to Run the Trent Smith Invite

Women

The Grand View University Women’s Cross Country team competed in the Trent Smith Invitational on Friday.  The Vikings placed two runners in the top 15 individually, on their way to a 4th place team finish and posted four PR’s at the meet. Anytcy Marin had a great day for the Vikings. Marin placed 6th out of 52 runners posting the 7th fastest time in Grand View school history as she covered the 5k course in 19:44 to lead GV to a fourth place team finish at the NIACC-Trent Smith Invite.

What’s Next?

Grand View will compete on Saturday, October 20th in the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede.  The stampede is held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and is set to begin at 11:00am.

Men

The Grand View University Men’s Cross Country team traveled to Mason City Friday evening to compete in the Trent Smith Invitational. Men’s team placed fourth overall, posted nine individual PR’s and also ran the 10th fastest team time (1-5 runners) in school history. Paced by Alex Arechavaleta(SR/Altoona, IA), who finished 10th posting an 8k PR of 27:38 to lead GV to a 4th place team finish at the NIACC-Trent Smith Invite.
