Individually, Nate Sanders (junior, Waukee) and Will DeHaan (sophomore, DeWitt, Central DeWitt HS) were also recognized by the association.

To qualify for the distinction, an individual student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or greater on a 4.0 scale and finished among the top 25 percent of finishers at their respective regional championships. Teams are honored by compiling a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater and competing in at least five different varsity competitions with at least five runners representing their school at each meet.

The women’s team compiled a 3.17 GPA to earn all-academic honors for the 10th year in a row and 13th time overall. The men’s team had a 3.17 GPA and earned the award for the fifth time in the last six years.

Sanders is an exercise science major with a 3.79 GPA and took 29th at the Central Regional. DeHaan finished 42nd at the regional meet and is an undeclared major with a 4.0 GPA.
