The No. 11 men’s cross country team and women’s cross country team completed the sweep on Friday night of its home meet, scoring 17 and 16 points, respectively. Senior Mason Tope was the top finisher for the men with his time of 26:05 while freshman Kristan Brown was the top finisher with her time of 25:56.

-Tope earned his third individual win on the season, with a 34 second lead over teammate and senior Timothy Sevcik
-Loras went 1-2-3-4-7-8-9-10 in the race, finishing with 17 points
-Sevick took second with a time of 26:39 followed by senior Justin Adams at 26:41
-Senior Brien Nugent took fourth on Friday with his time of 26:48
-The Duhawks rounded out the top-10 with finishes from sophomore Patrick Wolak (27:09), junior Preston Kauder (27:11), sophomore Cole Conklin-Little(27:21) and junior Jack Carroll (27:32)
-Loras went 2-3-4-5-7-8 in the women’s race, finishing with 16 points
-In the women’s race, Brown’s time led the way for the Duhawks followed by senior Kelly Minear (25:01), junior Liz Venezio (25:11) and sophomore Kemunto Ondande (25:16)
-Rounding out the top-10 for the women was senior Carrie Piper (25:20), sophomore Averi Leitzen (25:29) and sophomore Molly MacDuff (25:30)
Loras travels to the Pre-Nationals Race in Elsah, Ill., hosted by Principia, the host of the 2017 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Nov. 18.
